My Next To Normal

Today I did something I’ve wanted to do since I saw Cirque du Soleil for the first time in Disney World as a kid. I took my first aerial silks class and it was SO FUN!!! Just a little reminder to always follow your dreams ❤

I wasn’t going to post this picture. I just wanted this picture for myself because it made me feel good and confident taking it and I feel great every time I look at it. I didn’t want to post this because I was concerned about what people would say or how they would perceive me but then I realized that that is ridiculous. So with it being International Women’s Day and with the whole Emma Watson “issue” I felt like I needed to post this and say some stuff that’s been heavy on my mind lately. Women are NOT our bodies we are so much more. We are smart, strong, creative, and none of those things are undermined by the way we dress. I could have posted a topless picture and it would not be grounds to call me stupid or uninformed because I am FAR from either of those things. Today I am posting this as a marker for how far we have come as women. I post it for the amazing women who came before me and fought for equality among all of the people in this world. I post it to say I am confident in who I am and if you don’t like it you can get over it. I am here. I am woman. I am powerful. I am human. And I deserve to be treated equally and with respect no matter how I dress. #pussiesunite #InternationalWomensDay

I’ve looked at this picture about 300 times today so I felt like that meant I needed to share it. Still feel too awkward to put it anywhere but finsta. One day I won’t feel awkward about everything but that day is not today.

When you feel hot but you can’t post shit like this in the real world because people are judgemental assholes.
